Magazine adverts are another way to attract an audience outside of your original fans. They generally are quite stylised in order to stand out inside a magazine. Here is an example of a magazine album advert for Plan B's Defamation of Strickland Banks album.
As we can see from this advert. It uses bold fonts, bright colours and shades on a black and white picture that really stands out. This is important as it catches the eye of whoever is reading the magazine and forces them to pay attention to what has been written.
